These structured settlement annuityies are still really viable investment options for investors, what is amazing is that the banks have so many good solid investment choices in this down economy that these are now obtainable to private investors.

It’s amazing how my money can be invested and grow by insurance companies and banks to pay my small payments, AIG fell, who is to say the insurance company I get my payments from isn’t going to be next? I’d rather take what I can now, use it to get my son’s school paid, and stick the rest under a mattress then wait to see where it will be lost in the future.

I had no idea i was losing so much every year. I get annuity payments and wanted to know if I can get a lump sum so I can reinvest them elsewhere? My friend who is in banking told me that as long as I do not need to rely soley on my payments to live I could get a large chunk to re-invest. My only question is, how involved is this provess really? DO I ahve to see a judge and all that?
